In the beginning of a new development you will talk extensively with your web developer about your project. This includes things like current state, goals, users, timelines and so on. Near the end of that conversation or possibly even another conversation entirely you will start talking about the design.
Once the structure and design are set, the next step is developing the code and other nuts and bolts to make your online business work seamlessly. The days of traditional websites are over—today's online businesses must have the functionality to perform flawlessly on any device, on any screen size, and in any setting. D3 will build in this functionality and pays great attention to the details of your site, testing on multiple devices and sizes and perfecting the underlying code so your site works…every time. Web Development would be coding for the web. Once you've landed on a design you have to take that look and make it work on the internet. Excuse me not just work, you have to make it work fast, on every size screen, in all types of browsers. An example of web development would be me coming in and consulting then doing some code or a web application for your current site. Or I could take anyone's design (look) and code it so it works efficiently on the internet therefore you would only be hiring me for the development of the site and not the design.
The final component of your online business is effective online marketing. We'll discuss the specific needs of your business to come up with a plan targeted to meet your needs. From search engine marketing (SEM) to social media marketing, email campaigns, and more, D3 has you covered.
I consider online marketing to be any effort you make on any other web property other than your own in effort to get more people to your web site in order to get them to do what you want them to. Whether you're selling a product, have a service to offer or you have a property you just need people to see you have to get it out there! Now I say other than your own site above. I say that because I believe basic search engine optimization (SEO) should be done at the end of the web development process and during the content development period. Some examples of online marketing could be you hiring me to develop an automated email campaign to promote a service you offer. Another would be you hiring me to manage your Google and Bing Pay Per Click Campaigns.
